Inhouse and Custom Trainings
Inhouse trainings are a great opportunity for companies who want to train larger groups of staff or are based in remote areas. We offer inhouse trainings, clients can choose from our existing course range or request a tailored-course that fits exactly their requirements and skills levels of the participants. Even practical training elements can be included, either at the client’s own premises or at one of our traning centres in Johannesburg or Cape Town.
GREEN Solar Academy has already delivered inhouse trainings for a variety of companies.
Social Development Fund
In November 2019, we realised an inhouse training for the Social Development Fund in Kuruman. 10 young participants were selected to attend a 5-day basic training course in Kuruman which gave them some practical insights into the field of solar energy as possible career choice.
Cenored
Cenored is one of Namibia’s electricity distribution companies. They are the first Namibian RED to sign a PPA with a private company and developed a 4.5 MW solar farm project in Otjiwarongo. In July 2019 they sent their Technicians for solar training to our academy in Otjiwarongo.
Enel Green Power
Enel Green Power is an international energy company. They are active in 29 countries and manage power plants with a capacity of >43 GW. In 2018, we delivered a 2-day solar training at their premises in Johannesburg customised to Enel Green Power’s individual requirements.

In the frame of the dena RES project by maxx-solar energy Pty Ltd, we organised a stakeholder workshop to evaluate the demand for training in Zimbabwe.
Togo
dena RES Project
As part of the dena RES project Togo by maxx-solar energy Pty Ltd, we organised stakeholder workshops and a training of trainers with the goal to set up an Academy in Togo.

I'm from SANRAL Technical Innovation. We are expanding on our road network so we have a few renewable energy sites and therefor we need the best design so myself and two of my colleagues attended the course. And it was really fun! I did the Sunrise Intermediate course in 2014. We were a plumbing company and wanted to become a solar company. After 6 months we set up our own operation, paid school fees in the early years, went to China and ended up now using Victron. I am now the biggest seller for Victron equipment in Africa and the second biggest in the world. When I started, the course gave me an understanding in how to approach solar. A tip I give to all the people I get requests from is to take advantage of opportunities at the time!
